The problem you will face on this board is that many of the Christian members will condemn the teaching of other religions as they feel that only there's is the correct one and that others are misguided.

You make some good points though and I'm certainly not opposed to the teaching of religion, from a historical perspective, in the classroom. It is afterall, a big part of our history and makes for fantastic reading and also education.
