Not sure I'm reading your post correctly so sorry if that's the case.

Do you have any statistical evidence for the statement?
Anecdotally, I would be able to count half a dozen people I know, out of well over a hundred friends, acquaintances etc that DO want their kids being brought-up in a Christian environment.
Don't want to get into what's right and what's wrong, as we all have different views but don't think your statement reflects the Australia I see. Again, may have misinterpreted your sentences.
General religion, in the context of histroy I have no problem with, so long as it is kept to what factually occurred and not anything requiring "faith".
