    That may be the most reasoned response on this thread. I give you a thumbs up.

    Few parents would be against the basic tenets of religion. Love of fellow man, goodwill to others, honesty, equality of men and women etc. The crunch comes with the utter confusion as to what constitutes the truth when they start to sell their product. Just have a look at the range of contested opinion from the members of differing Christian churches on this thread alone. That is not acceptable in schools.

    Expose them to the basics of comparative religion. Show them what being a good citizen looks like. Teach them virtues. But! Keep them away from any branch or sect of any religion because at best it will confuse them, at worst it will create disunity. School should be free from any attempts at indoctrination. Attempts to recruit children to a particular brand of religion should be cut off at the knees.

    That clip posted by whereu is a truly galling thing to see. Heartbreaking to see children exposed to these idiots. It is no less than a form of child abuse.
