Decisions of the Supreme Court can be overturned by constitutional amendment, or by subsequent decisions of the Supreme Court, which is capable of reversing the decision.
After a decision has been handed down the Supreme Court allows either party to request a rehearing (from the Supreme Court) on the decision. Rehearings are seldom granted without a compelling reason. not sure on the time period either party has to request a rehearing. Could be 3 weeks?
