Honestly, If your are papertrading and have not used a platform to test your results you are going to hurt yourself when starting out...

I recommend opening a test account with a broker that you are looking to trade with, spend some time learning the platform pro's and con's with your trading strategy...

...make sure you have your money management plan working without emotion...this is very hard for a newbie to have control over

...lastly when you have confidence in yourself, the money management, the strategy, the platform, the broker and the results you have obtained from trial trading...then you are ready to start live trading

...of course it wouldn't hurt to start out using micro lots and gain confidence slowly before investing too heavily....
