I know what you're saying but there is a time and place to discuss everything and the first post wasn't it...way too soon.
Unfortunately life is cheap in many (most) parts of the world and a blind eye is turned too often, but that doesn't make it wrong for people to be hurting so much right now for local communities. I don't know, it's hard to express it clearly...all life is equal but it's human nature to be touched more by tragedy close to home, rightly or wrongly. Maybe it's easier to relate to than a mud slide that wipes out a village in Central America or an earthquake in Kashmir.
