To me even allowing for the overwhelming magnitude of the fires the human response seems to have been underwhelming.Fires were/are within 55 kms of Melbourne a city of nigh on 4 million with imfrastructure, specifically emergency services commensurate with its size, yet in all the harrowing coverage i have watched i have yet to see "city" services on the fire front at all!!.I stand to be corrected but from my perspective the state governments apparent "tardy" response in not throwing everything at the crisis is questionable(easy to say with the benefit of hindsight i know)especially in the context of homes lost and associated lives!.Doubtless the Royal Commission will investigate all avenues of procedure and will report accordingly and hopefully its reccomendations will be implement in whole"for next time".My 2 cents worth, thankyou.
Best Regards,
T.
