Such a tragic day but in true Australian spirit, those left alive and standing with nothing except the clothes they were wearing will rebuild their homes and their lives.

Channel 9 did a story tonight confirming the death of ex long time news reader Brian Naylor and his wife who both died in the fires at Kinglake. Brian Naylor retired approx 10 years ago.

WOULD IT BE OUT OF THE QUESTION FOR Hot Copper to ask/ collect donations from all members willing to pledge money.

Just as an idea, H.C. could give a running tally each hour by way of a post "FIRE VICTIMS FUND" and collect for say 7 -10 days or is this all too hard??
I have a lazy hundred to kick start it if H.C. don't see any harm in it.
