The reason I suggested the doc check the fuses is:

Mate has a Tarago. End of a camping trip, battery flat. He's an electrician, his brother-in-law an electronics engineer. Exhibiting due caution, they jump-start the Tarago. All well, until get out of campsite onto road. No acceleration. Checks fuses. None blown. Get RACQ. No go. Tow Tarago and trailer from Hervey Bay to Brissy behind B-I-L's Landy. Toyota took two weeks to work out there was a fuse missing! Still can't work out how, why etc.

Far too complicated.
