Make sure the mechanic timed the pump on the correct stroke!!! get it rocking on cylinder 1 and see where the timing mark is etc... I'd be ringing up an "engine rebuilder" for the solution before any "mechanic", there reputation depends on the end product working!! Mechanics just replace to diagnose!!1
