    Something else to check:
My son has a diesel Astra, it had intermittent missing, like a petrol with a dicky plug lead, he called Lubemobile to come out and do a diagnostic check ($130) they said fuel pump stuffed. Holden wanted $2000 for new pump, but he got a new one out of Europe for $1200 delivered. Didn't fix the problem, so took it to someone else to diagnose, while he was running the car, my son was looking under the bonnet and messing around with wires, which caused the problem to stop and restart. Turned out it was a dodgy connection on an injector lead. $2000 dollar bill all up, which was fixed with a 10 cent cable tie.

I hate auto electrics. I have a VW Touareg, which has always been a good reliable car, but it has 16 computer chips, and about 80 fuses. When it starts going wrong, I think i will just burn it
