you'll probably find that there is very little labour cost on the books that u get (as distinct from the ones the ATO see) ie husband & wife run it & aren't shown as drawing a wage, with the argument being that they get the 120K net
but
in reality that just means that u are buying yourselves a JOB (& far more than 40 hours each) not a business & paying 220K for the privilege - only way u can make money in that case is to build up the business (hopefully it's run down) & increase the good will value (capital gain)
Long, hard work for little gain - better to look at stretching to a 500K business (not job)
