I agree with others comments, but I forgot the really big question.............most newsagency's are cash business, so who knows how much cash is declared

I saw one once, had a post office agency, unluckily for them they declared cash, but no where near the amount they should have, ato looked in and the post office had different accurate reports, much higher earnings and they got caught out by the ato

but when they were selling it was the opposite story to the tax records, and the accountant usually only has the tax records to declare
lots of cash wink wink
