help on company secretaries

    Could some one inform me of the followng in Australia.

    What is the role of a Company Secretary?

    In the US, a Corporation has to have a Registered Agent, who is the official contact person for the corporation. Any legal documents, formal communcations, include the Registered Agent in the address.

    Does anything like that apply to Aus?

    Any response will be appreciated.
