and my favourite,my secret recipe,but fresh mussels or fresh abalone,still alive,get one bucket fresh water,add 2 complete garlic onions crushed,drop mussels or abalone in ,leave overnight with tea towel over top,over night they drown in the fresh water but soak all the garlic juice into them while dying so you have a soaked garlic appetiser,with abolone cut into very fine strips,mussels leave in shell,pop on barby,mussels 5 minutes,abalone 30 seconds ,add salt or pepper or lime juice,fantastic,washed down with a nice white,you can laso if doing mussels add a heap of chili,you wont believe how much the little suckers soak up
