BB, you seem to broken your cardinal rule of posting assumptions. You criticised many for making asumptions about MFS. and now you want to make an assumption about what will be left.

If your best friend Chris is serious about winning over support, he shouldbe pushing for MFS management to produce the 31 December FS. While they will be at 31 December, the events subsequent to balance date will need to be reflected given they materially effect balances at 31 December 2007.

I have no problem making assumptions so long as you are agreeable. Remember they may go against you.
