However I was wondering why the XVI code is not valid when I type it in the usual Text Box in the ASX Prices page where I can type things like BHP, ANZ, etc and get the day's High Low Open Close, etc.
I was expecting the same thing when I type XVI in the ASX code Text Box at Comsec, Bell Direct (or you can try others and let me know), but the code is not valid.
Is it because the VIX cannot have prices of High Low Open Close and other Shares-like data?
On broking sites, usually you can get Basic, to Advanced to Interactive graphs for normal stocks / equities. Does that mean the VIX May NEVER have such feature because it is not really a stock? But note that XJO (SP500) and XAO(All Ords) have many data including graphs just like normal stocks.
