I need some help in gaining a better understanding of the Cowan...

I need some help in gaining a better understanding of the Cowan Drill strategy. This is how I understand it but I would dearly appreciate a confirmation or correction.

It was understood / hoped for that the supergene zone was dipping eastward.

LCDD001 was drilled to probe for the supergene footwall / edge. So the drill shot ran the risk of drilling parallel to the eastward dipping structure. There was no contact so the the rig was moved eastward one step in the grid.

LCDD002 was drilled with the same purpose and at the last penetrated the supergene basalt wall hence the comment about the encouraging result. The encouragement came not so much from the 2gr/tonne but the fact that they found the supergene base wall. The drill head had to some degree gone under the supergene head structure.

Now to reverse the tactic drill from the east and keep on steping back until the extent of the opposite wall is found at the same level.
