IMHO your understandings have merit. Although these holes did not drill into a bonanza grade mammoth, they did contain an enormous amount of information. Geological mapping on the land portion of the TI lease will have provided a wealth of information already. These holes are the first peek at the rocks under the lake sediment. Each hole will have had the cores logged, where DG examines each core section, and writes descriptive notes on the rock type, which gives the srtatigraphy or rock sequence. Also the angles of the rock faces where there is a sudden change of rock type are measured and recorded. This helps in building a 3D picture of what is happening under the lake, and when that is factored into the geophysical (magnetic and gravity) data,and geochemical data (aircore results) a clearer picture emerges. This will assist greatly IMHO in targeting future diamond holes.
