I have a landline which works downstairs but not upstairs. I could upgrade to another phone with two portable handset.
iprimus supplied me with a faulty NBN modem, and no-one could work out why my NBN was not connecting. When I finally gave up on iprimus and signed up with TPG then they insisted on their modem only to be used and within two or three day, I had everything working well. My download speed is 46.7 any time I test it, and upload is 18.8 mbps, far faster than iprimus old adsl connection.
So TPG was able to do what iprimus couldn't do, despite a two year period from the time the NBN people visited here first, after several more visits, they disappeared saying they didn't know why, but there was no connection. Best thing I ever did is to get TPG.
(In the interim, I tried Telstra. They couldn't get my Surname correct and had to give up on them, having wasted another 2 months with them.)
TPG very efficient. I have a bundle with my mobile phone, too.
