Ummmmmm ...... Are you sure you got that right Lix? Tariffs are import taxes, not export taxes.
You say "imports to China incur a 30% tariff" ..... nope. China is taxing imports from the US at 10%, not 30%.
You also say "imports to America incur only a 10% tariff" .... nope, not true either. The US is taxing US companies 30% on most Chinese imports, not 10%.
So US companies are getting hit hard by new Trump import taxes which they are starting to pass on to US consumers. Trump is very unhappy that companies are being transparent about how much of the price rises are a direct result of these new Trump import taxes so he is threatening companies to force them to keep it quiet. Remember that he told everybody that he was taxing China, not them.
On the other hand many imports from the US to China are just being cancelled and the Chinese are actively seeking to source their imports like Beef, Soy Beans etc from other countries instead. US farmers are screaming because Trump handed their lunch to other countries to eat without even understanding what he did. To keep them afloat US taxpayers will have to foot the bill. Hard to say where the money for that will come from. Maybe the new $5 trillion that Trump want to increase the debt by.
No point talking about winning. There are winners in this but the majority of US citizens are amongst them.
