Following the release of the previous announcement with regard to subsidy funding for hcBPAG by the German Government,Eastland Medical Systems Ltd provides the following information:

Eastland’s CEO Dermot Patterson, said today “this latest announcement from HC Berlin Pharma AG, our contracted production and manufacturing partner, confirms the commitment by the German State of Brandenburg to the success of the product range that we are developing. With this announcement, Eastland is confident that the production facilities necessary for delivering the required volumes to market during 2009 will be achieved. This should position Eastland to be able to achieve significant positive revenues during 2009 adding value to our company and its shareholders.”

Eastland is now moving rapidly to an exciting phase in the development of our flagship drug ArTiMist™ and are in the advanced stages of commencing the Phase III trials for ArTiMist™. Further details of these trials will announced as it progresses.
