Crosslands Resources Ltd is emerging as a key supplier of high quality Western Australian iron ore to major world markets. Our company holds mining leases in the Jack Hills and Weld Range areas of Western Australias mid-west region, about 380 kilometres north-east of Geraldton.
A planned major expansion is set to place Crosslands as a cornerstone project to the growing iron ore province in the mid-west region. Reporting to the Operations Process Manager, this position is required to provide effective technical, cost and schedule management of all testwork programs, provide input and management for development of continuous pilot plant, and to provide input to process development activities, working closely with contractor and vendor Process Engineers.
The key elements of this position include:
Technical, schedule and cost management of BFS testwork programs Responsible for test work and flow sheet development Initially work on feasibility study, then continue into front end engineering, design, construction and commissioning Personnel and Technical Management of Continuous Pilot Plant through design and operation phases Active participant in Process Engineering team Formal and Informal presentation to management Co-ordination with the geological team Responsible for managing the metallurgical consultants The successful candidate will meet the following key criteria Extensive testwork experience Between 5 and 10 years experience in either large scale operations or engineering design environment. Some experience in development of a greenfields mineral processing project Tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy Sound knowledge of mineral beneficiation processes, particularly in areas of LIMS, spiral separators, classification processes, thickening and filtration Experience with iron ore or other large scale mineral processing industry, ideally magnetite, from either operations or engineering background Familiar with bench scale and pilot scale laboratory techniques Some experience with commissioning of mineral processing plant Familiar with Process Simulation Packages Presentation skills (written, verbal) Please email a cover letter and resume to [email protected], quoting the job title in the subject line.
