My comment about moving on was specifically related to the uproar about people's backgrounds and someone saying they have a husband, or a dog, or whatever personal info. Also, this is not the same as 'Chad'. As you've described, Chad clearly engages in antisocial and abusive behaviour. Being married to another bloke is none of those.
As you're aware I have followed these threads and this company since IPO this year and overall found your posts to interesting and informative. No doubt I have less invested than you, but more than 'just a few quid at this lark'. I understand that you have a lot of not just money invested in this company but time and passion and love. Knowing that, I guess that is why it is that much harder to see someone else come along and have a different idea about what might work and be helpful. No doubt too that it is a scary thing to think that a 22 yr old female still studying with a very different outlook than you might have some kind of say in the company you have invested so much in.
You have a very specific idea about what is going to be good for this company. Those ideas are borne out of being from the demographic that you are in. There is nothing wrong with that, but be aware that it is just one lens to view the world. Other people may have a very different idea about what is going to work.
I'm not sure who is right, although I suspect both to some degree and both are wrong to some degree in certain areas about what is going to help the company grow. I agree with you on many points around initial criticism of the website, although not all. I believe it is the capacity to have constructive discussions about what people think will work or not, and provide a meaningful rationale that does not attack the person but the ideas, that will allow this (and all) company to thrive. Clearly they are listening to feedback, and I think it is this capacity to change in response to feedback that is more important than the content in a few blogs/profiles.
