I agree, they are probably looking at the tight gas to enhance the productivity. I am not sure what kind of issues they might have on a multiple zone completion, but there seems to be a pretty good distance between the gatton and ripley. anyone heard of multiple conventional and frac'd zones in the one well?

but what is the counter logic.

sure they could put in a producer for the ripley, but what would this achieve. how are they going to monetise it. no compression station or trunk line to hook up to.

like I said to you before on the same arguments you raised; the gas needs a means to be monetised, and until LWPL and RVPS are online, they can go as slow as they like as far as I care.
