musings about green energy and bluglass

  1. 220 Posts.
There is a tsunami building up worldwide to achieve two things with regard to energy:
    1. Reduce the consumption of energy
    2. Green up the generation of energy.

The forces driving both these endeavors, are as great as any the world has ever seen.
The threat posed by global warming has generated so much popular support for this push, that every government in the world is assisting organizations in the development of these technologies.
Any breakthrough in any relevant area, when proven, will reap enormous rewards for those involved.
I can’t think of any other sector, more ripe for growth in today’s times.

So why have I invested in Bluglass?
Well, Bluglass is involved in both these areas:

On the consumption side, BLG’s patented RPCVD process, (The IP is 100% held by BLG), is one of the very few enabling technologies that can bring affordable, energy efficient, LED lighting to the mass market. The LED market is already a huge market and what a mammoth market it promises to become in the near future.
BLG has already proven that it can deliver the goods in this area.
Commercialization is just a matter of time.

On the generation side, the same patented RPCVD process also has the potential to finally bring practical high efficiency, multi junction solar cells to the market.
This application of the RPCVD process is not quite as far advanced as the LED side, so the wait will be somewhat longer, but if, (I believe when), BLG succeeds, the rewards will be much larger.

I am relying on an excellent team of employees and management to bring this business the success it deserves and to hopefully make me a few dollars in the process.
By “this business” I really mean “my business” , after all I do own a % of it.
By a “few dollars” I really mean “A Motza”

Today you hear the wailing and the gnashing of teeth of nervous shareholders, because the share price is languishing and progress seems to be too slow.
Tomorrow you’ll hear the wailing and the gnashing of teeth of those who missed the boat because they failed to either, see the opportunity, or lacked the courage to commit to it.

To all you fellow HC members reading this.
These are just the musings of an old engineer, who, on a quiet mid-week night, sitting in front of the fire, with a glass of red, watching telly, thought, he might just get off his butt and write a short rambling post on one of his favorite stocks.
So do your own research, make up your own mind, and pay little heed to a silly old bugger like me.

    Cheers all.
