This Super TAX against the miners will never ever happen in its standard format...
Yet in the meantime our sovereign risk to investing in Miners in Aussie multiples. Thus this may scare away investors until this Super TAX goes away.
If a BHP or Rio start talking of moving business elsewhere and 1000s of job losses. Then the government will cave. Big miners have the power- let us not pretend the government really does. IMO.
Any potential harm to mining companies is harm to the country thus will cost the current government dearly in the next election...
It will never happen... Super TAX to power house of our economy will drag us to our knees if the world continues on a volitile path.
MAKE OUR country look attractive to invest in- OS investors I know are staying right away from Aussie currently. We are being rated far more risky due to governmental poor decision making... IMO
