I am not arguing that - what I am saying is the fact the Senate is (maybe) hostile at the moment is a moot point. Rudd will win the election and it will be law. I think it places Australia in a much poorer light in terms of sovereign risk and as an attractive place for investment. What's next? tax banks because they make too much money? No doubt popular but it's a slippery slope and before you know it there is little incentive to take risks and innovate and try and make a buck.
