i cant understand this tax, here in germany we subsidize the coal mining for several decades til now. We dig and sell our resources for nothing! We loose money at this action, its only that peoples have work. And austrlia will chase away the mining industry. If i imagine, how many people were working at the ports, building the infrastructure, the mines, drilling every day hundrets of holes, services the mines with work and material, delivery with fuel etc. etc. i think you coudnt say they pay only the $bns of tax, if you add all together, that flows in the economy through earnings for the workers etc. this few billions savings the goverments estimates are a little shi.. and would you really make a step to communism? what is next?
