I think you are jumping the gun a bit here Brad, the resource tax on mining companies will levy an extra resources rent tax when profit climb into super-profit territory. They face a super-tax of 40 per cent in addition to company tax.
Whatever you believe about RMS, it has definitely never approached the "super-profit" category. In fact, we shareholders are mostly only facing losses. Beside it your theory is correct then why haven't the big gold miners suffered the same fate in the past few weeks. Whatever the reason for the recent decline, it is not the Henry Tax Review.
As I have stated in this forum before, I believe it is more likely to be be connected with RMS's 140,000 JORC.
