To clarify your point re: Gen 2 and particularly Gen 3.

The new combination single pill alone cured around 70% of these patients.

However, with the addition of Ribavirin the response rate was 100%.

G3 and relapsers, together with certain subtypes, will go twelve weeks instead of eight AND use Ribavirin. IMO the other combos are not in the race until they can supply a once per day six/eight week course.

Gen 1 is far and away the most common variant in the west.
