My first post on these forums I think I overlooked the sentiment tab and realised once I had posted that it said hold.. I have had buy sentiment all along.
Given my area of work, I have high hopes that IMU can make a big difference. I have my reservations only based on the fact that they are obviously not the only company doing cancer drug trials, there is a lot of competition.. we have to be realistic about that. But I have always felt the reward in this scenario outweighs the risk. Also I have great faith in LC, Imugene management, the team and all alliances involved. Not to mention a great pipeline with a few potential winners, but Oncarlytics? it is just mind blowing and a game changer. If it does what is claimed and comes to fruition so to speak, we are onto a winner. big time..
I have seen a lot of patients lately who are in a position where the treatments are no longer working or the toxicities too severe and they may have weeks or months left.. in my mind I am thinking.. if only IMU's Oncarlytic therapy was available on the market now for this patient...
Once Oncology drugs are approved and become standard treatments, they are supplied and prescribed left right and centre. Oncologists only have a little leeway in altering treatments for patients. So for example IF an IMU drug became a first, second or third line treatment for a particular diagnosis (or several which is likely for Oncarlytics), an oncologist would have to prescribe it for the given diagnosis (unless there were particular contraindications). they cant just pull one out of the bag based on their experience. I hope one day soon, I am treating patients with a drug from IMU. One can imagine the effect on SP if one of the pipeline drugs became a standard treatment.
Big pharma who are benfiting from many current treatments, will be shaking in their pants if Oncarlytics became a mainstream treatment. Highly likely they would want a piece of it, and be willing to pay good money for it because once the cat is out of the bag and we say goodbye to old fashioned chemotherapy, big pharma will have a lot to lose. The politics of it is actually frightening.
Oncarlytics works on several different types of tumours. The implications here are massive. Its not like a pharmaceutical company making billions from one or two drugs which target one or two types of cancer.. it can replace several mainstream treatments for several types of cancer. No doubt big pharma is watching this space very carefully. Ideally, IMU could do it without big pharma involvement, and IMU becomes a very big player on the scene. I cant predict a share price, but I would say it would most definitely not be a sub 50c stock. Use your imagination on this one..
Its early days in cancer treatment and the game is changing rapidly. I know one day, we will look back and say, I cant believe we used to give people chemotherapy! Hence my sentiment.. this is the future of cancer treatment.
Looking forward to listing on ASX300.. would like to put a chunk of my super on it.
Anyways, its obviously a big fat buy for me.. Unfortunately trials can take some time, Its a waiting game but happy to be in it now before the news that will turn this puppy into a life changer- both for patients with a cancer diagnosis and investors alike.
