Kgton i was not refering to the stockmarket as whole, i was refering to small cap stock NMS. As this is a small cap, one needs to get away from having a motive view on the company, and have a hard look at the facts presented so far. A loss for the first half effects employees and mangers more than investors. If you are an investor and see one of your companies having a hard time, wouldn't you think its prudent to preserve capital, and go somewhere else. Does that effect the collective good of the economy, not really, because capitalism survives on the notion that capital is employed in the most effective and efficient industries. Companies that dont deployed capital for a profit, usually dont last in a capitalist system. They are to the detrement of all persons as a whole.
