Gc it would go like this "we have an Indonesian boat with an Indonesian crew with people allowed to legally enter Indonesia and were returning them to Indonesia"

It actually wouldn't go like that at all.

It would be an Australian Navy Captain in an Australian Navy vessel. The Indonesian Harbourmaster will simply deny the request to enter Indonesian waters.

Any intrusion will be seen as a violation of Indonesia's sovereignty.

Reverse every single detail and see if an Australian Harbourmaster would sit by while an Indonesian Navy vessel entered OUR waters.... I think NOT!

Basically it comes down to this.... YOU CAN'T JUST DO WHAT YOU WANT!

all your faffing about Indonesian people on board and them being allowed to enter Indonesia will NOT change the fact that the Indonesian authorities WILL NOT allow an Australian Navy vessel to enter their waters if they don't want to.

If the patrol boat persisted, they would be met by much bigger boats from the Indonesian Navy.
