What leaves me open-mouthed is the few articles we have seen from holier-than-thou types supporting ASIC's witch hunt. While many bad guys go on their way unhindered.

The only expanation I can see is that "they weren't there", and have relied on hear-say. I WAS there, and can say that no sane person could possibly convict AF. Simply because there was no misleading, it did not occur, never happened. One of the judges made some statements afterwards that were inaccurate and would not stand even cursory factual examination.

What is missed by everyone it seems is that the original case was thrown out, and the appeal's job was to pronounce on the way in which the trial was conducted according to law. Their honours found that a wrong interpretation was given, in that 'honest mistake' is technically no defence.

So to say that the appeal convicted him of deception etc, is not accurate anyway. It is truly a blight on our society if this carries on.
