I understand that production line workers at Bathurst get $26.00/hour, in New Zealand the wage costs are half that.
Add to that artificially high energy costs due to subsidising windmills and solar panels plus carbon taxes. The previous state government forced the local council to increase the cost of water, then everybody stopped using it and the council started running their water business at a loss and were forced to raise the price again.
