Fortescue was slightly less bullish at the time, saying an agreement with Oil Basins had not been completed and the negotiations were part of Fortescue's strategy to investigate energy options for its iron ore business.
if this is correct as Peter Kerr suggests then why oh why did FMG make the announcement same time as OBL.. this guy says OBL have not replied to any calls ,so he just makes the judgement that the deal is not all finalised...If FMG was not on board then they have made a huge mistake by announcing the deal.
