    LONDON (MarketWatch) -- News Corp. is in talks to buy Blinkx, a privately-held search engine that specializes in video searches, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing people close to News Corp. The prospective acquisition of Blinkx is part of an aggressive bid by News Corp. to take on such Internet powerhouses as Yahoo Inc. , the report said. The report didn't give an estimate on how much Blinkx is worth.
