I can see a future link, but no direct linkage at present. They are aiming to use their existing coal reserves
I am sure that if they could secure sustainable and reliable SYNGAS from Cougar that they may reconsider the way they proceed for future growth of such a plant. For now though it looks as though they are already set for the capital outlay and are moving ahead on a schedule.
Possibly in the future, they may consider weighing costs of additional capital outlay against risks that might involve supply from Cougar Energy's process.
The article certainly highlights the potential for Vic Brown Coal though.
