Export Sales of TruScreen® commence

The Board of Polartechnics (PLT) is pleased to announce the commencement of export sales of
TruScreen®. This marks a major milestone in the company’s transformation from development to
commercialisation. TruScreen® units are now being supplied to a number of countries with whom
distribution agreements were established over the past six months. Production and supply is coming
from the company’s new manufacturing plant in Sydney, Australia and output will be progressively
increased in the coming months to meet expected demand.
Chairman of Polartechnics Mr. Robert Hunter said “The commencement of export sales to numerous
countries is a clear indication of the global interest in TruScreen®".
The Board is also pleased to announce that TruScreen® sales to India have begun with a major
product launch commencing in India this week. The launch includes presentations to key Indian
Medical opinion leaders by world experts on cervical screening, Professor Albert Singer and Dr. Narendra
Pisal.
Mr. Hunter said “We expect India to be a significant market for TruScreen® and are pleased that the
product launch is being strongly supported and endorsed by Professor Singer who is considered a world
leader in this field.”
TruScreen® has obtained technical clearance in China with final registration to follow shortly.
Significant export sales will commence to China immediately following final registration.
Mr. Hunter said “It is unfortunate that we encountered unforseen delays in the registration of TruSceen®
in China, however we are now producing TruSceen® inventory in readiness for immediate export sales to
China following final registration.”
TruScreen® provides real-time screening for cervical cancer, as opposed to the delayed results with the
traditional Pap smear. As well as the appeal to patients of an instant result, the award-winning technology
has been proven to be as sensitive as the Pap smear, and provides relatively high reliability and
consistency. It also offers relatively inexpensive capital installation setup costs, plus a fast learning
adoption cycle by doctors and nurses.
Terms of trade for all TruScreen® international sales require receipt of cleared funds with Australian
accounts, prior to shipment.
