LYC had ridiculously inflated development costs and their
plant has never worked correctly. Apparently REE radioactive corrosive concentrate gets stuck in the machines like toothpaste. We will be using different acid leach techniques and we have low uranium.
ARU have a terrible deposit of skinny fluroapatite veins. Yes they are rich in HREE but are an absolute disaster to extract REE from.
As far as supply goes - REE by their atomic nature have properties that cannot be replicated by other elements or compounds. If you can create a dependable supply chain without price spikes for high end manufacturers I'm quite sure they will increase integration in their products.
