Not so sure the SP will move significantly just because the cheque is banked. They banked the OW cheque for $4 per share then another huge cheque from them at $3.80 per share and the stock didn't move that much really. Certainly didn't move the support lines to anywhere near the placement prices so anybody expecting this placement to do so might be disappointed, although the lower price bar means that the SP is automatically closer to start with.
I suggest that the market (everybody except Janti) knew that the money was coming, there was just some question as to what specific price. Beit $3.20, $3.40 or $3.60 it wasn't going to be a share price driver really. The ML will help a bit I should think but again this must be factored in to a certain extent.
I do however wonder if we might start to see some suits slowly and very quietly trying to move some of their clients into CDU over the next couple of months. Once they have done this some might stick an analyst on it to pump out a few spec buy recommentations to allow the ice to start thawing. Certainly not expecting the recommendations to be pushed before they move their key clients in. They might not like CDU but their love of profits, performance and commission is bigger still I suggest. This is the key price driver now while we wait for actual extraction grades and revenue numbers.
I'm very pleased to see that CDU managements efforts and steadfast determination to "push for a premium" have paid off. Any of you lot who took me to task on said statment previously want to try again ? Well done to CDU management for having the guts to demand a premium rather than taking the easy path and issuing at a 20% discount as most companies do, or $2 like somebody here suggested was the best outcome they could get in this market.
This deal looks a hell of a lot more palletable than the 5 day VWAP price previously announced. Not sure whose knads they squeezed but it seems to have done the trick.
