I would think FERC giving draft approval to Corpus Christi which is the first greenfield project to win environmental approval would be massive news that came out of the blue that could impact the shorters.
It shows that the regulatory authorities are looking at LNG projects in a timely fashion and approving them, and this can only bode well for LNGs own Magnolia FERC approval. We know that US investors see FERC approval, not BTAs or EPC or debt funding, as the key obstacle to Magnolia getting up and seeing FERC and also the DOE working to approve projects clearly reduces regulatory risk in LNG.asx.
