You've been in the market long enough to know this is how it works. They do it because people bought without knowing what they bought and so sell without knowing what they sold: the shares are a piece of paper and a price on a chart to them, or people bought knowing what they bought but are fearful that what profits they have made on paper need to be preserved by selling at whatever price they can get before the price they can get is less than they can get now. Lots of people trying it one win, and lots lose. Unfortunately lots of investors get caught up in it without understanding what's happening and also lose their money: I fell sad for these people. Ride it out and see what happens when the company continues to make the progress it's been making. It's either that or try to win at their game: not many do, it's a losing game for most in the long run.
