    Priesty,
I mentioned a few days ago that I had trouble understanding the difference between a merger and a takeover.

Having done a little reading since, I understand that in a merger each SEN holder will get some of the other company's shares as part of the merger deal.

For example if SEN merged with a company of similar size then SEN holders could receive 1 "new" share for each SEN share and will therefore have two shares in the newly merged company.

If the company was twice the size then SEN holders would get half a new share for every SEN share.

There are other elements as well such as getting options or part cash. Full cash is really a takeover.

The main point is that for this to happen I understand that the other company needs to be listed on the ASX.
