    Actually, atomou, salt can be very good for you - but it must be iodised salt.

    It's the most readily available source of iodine which is necessary for good thyroid function. Seafood is another of course. One in 7 people in Australia apparently are iodine deficient.

    In fact there's no reason to not buy iodised salt as the price difference is negligable. But sea salt isn't necessarily iodised, so you have to check.
