L'oreal US patent, priority date 2004: "Method of Applying Makeup by Means of a Magnetic Composition Incorporating at Least one Coloring Agent Having Optical Properties that are Sensitive to an External Stimulus"

The present invention relates to method of applying makeup to keratinous substances, in particular the skin, the nails, hair, or the lips, the method comprising the following steps:
      • depositing at least one cosmetic composition on the surface, the cosmeticcomposition comprising:
        • bodies that present magnetic susceptibility that is non-zero; and
        • at least one coloring agent having optical properties that are sensitive to an external stimulus; and
      • exposing at least part of the composition to a magnetic field to modify the orientation and/or to displace at least some of the magnetic bodies.

L'oreal Russian patent, priority date 2008: "Applicator to apply cosmetic composition"

The applicator body may be formed with a polymer material which includes magnetic particles. The magnetic field generated by these particles that can resist magnetizable and / or magnetized may, for example, to create the effect on the eyelashes and / or interact with the magnetic fibers or pigments, which are available in the formulation.

All is fair in love and war...

Edit: these are just examples. The patent really needs to be granted in a Chinese jurisdiction to be protective here. These US/Russian ones would only be relevant as prior art, but the OBJ ones have already been granted (so they were deemed different enough from prior art).
