If the soldiers had come to warn people to stay indoors because of a reported car bomb, what were they doing attracting kids out into the street with sweets?
Would it be too cynical to suggest they may have been hoping that the kids would have been a deterrent to them being targetted. They wouldn't be the first adults in a war zone to have used kids in such a manner if that was what happened.
