Machiavelli-500 years ago warned that if you want to change the world,
get ready to be crushed by those who already hold the power and money.
Today, the rich and powerful are the global corporations who infiltrate every
facet of our lives.
Just as ww1 and ww2 is now seen to have been maneuvers for global
armageddons--self defense is the first law of nature. All nations on earth
now have strong defense issues, with a massive arms build up in motion.
China has a unique status as the monopoly producer of REEs and other
valuable minerals. Beijing can also marshal over 200 million men at arms
with another 200 million to back them. Any reader who thinks that China
with all their technological advances cannot police the smuggling of its
HREEs...enter Homo Ignoramus.
China is playing the oldest game in the world, but the tide 'will turn'.
As of 2014, U.S. military expenses total close to $1 trillion dollars. Spending
by other nations include China $215 b,Russia $85 b, Saudi Arabia $80 b,
UK and France $60 b each,Japan and India 550 b, Australia and Turkey
$25 billion each.
While the other major powers including Germany and Japan are moving
rapidly to re-militarize,-the international cockpit of war planning and re-
armament is the U.S. The vast arsenals being accumulated by the major
powers are not intended for mere show.
Beijing also frequently defends its military rise by pointing to the 'century
of humiliation' the country endured during its partial occupation by Euro
powers in the 19th century...
"Our lesson from history--those that fall behind will get bullied, this is
something we will never forget, our country will achieve modernization
of which national defense is an important part and this requires a certain
guarantee of funding."

Russia by 2020 will have 1 million men under arms 'again' with next gen
weapons, one hundred new satellites, thousands of new tanks and planes.
Needless to say..Russia is now subsidizing 'major new REE projects' to
cope with their future military demand. [Its in the advanced military
weapons that DY is critical]

Between 35/40 thousand Chinese officials and executives from SOEs
go to Singapore annually to study how to run SOEs and 'Temasek' is
their first port of call, and to learn from Lee Kwan Yew's insights into
the Chinese psyche. [which eludes the western mindset]
Lee Kwan Yew's [LKY] brand of capitalism stresses the 'rule of govt'
rather than the free hand of the market-has provided a blueprint for
China's economic reforms. Fifty years ago Singapore was little more
than a swampy mosquito infested island with 1.6 m people and few
natural resources. Today with a population of 6.5 m people it has been
transformed into the envy of the world.
Unemployment is around 2%,they are possibly the world's healthiest
nation and 90% of the people own their homes-and its one of the
least corrupt nations on earth.
Singapore is also a top country in which to do business. It has almost
a perpetual govt surplus of between 0 and 20% of GDP and twice the
purchasing power of UK, and in 2013 Singapore spent 30 times more
per head of population on infrastructure than the UK. Singapore is
increasingly visited by UK politicians seeking 'inspiration'.

The current Australian FTA agreement trifecta with China,Japan and Korea
[soon India] also focuses on our lagging manufacturing base. The closing of
many of our factories, suggests that our manufactures need to adopt a new
mindset of smaller,faster,lighter technology.
A transfer of Asian REE tech to our shores after NTU commences production,
would come as no surprise,as magnet manufacturing [LKYs rule of govt] would
have been discussed in 'detail' during the meeting between management and the
'select committee on northern development' in Canberra last Feb/15.
We are witnessing the 'Chinafication' of Australia unfold and it would be difficult
to imagine China allowing a 'rising star' like NTU to slip from their grasp.
The "Quiet Achiever" came out of nowhere-and the herd didn't see it coming
HM.
PS...Abbott made a profound statement recently..."if our north does well Australia
does well." Turnbull made similar reference tonight.."Northern Australia is one of
our key agenda's going forward. A region of 'immense opportunity.' Frydenberg
will do it justice IMO.
