have a look at the info available at utah oil and gas about class 2 wells and aquifer exemptions.
Lots is also available about other shale gas plays in texas (barnett shale i think of hand) etc where this technique is used to manage pressures.
Cordingly canion is at Helper so of no real significance. Check out the drill dates of wells and compare thir production figures and look at JS's revival plan.
INteresting though is the fact that the ASD wells are amoungst the most recent drilled and are basically been identified as hopeless. They never produced more than 30mcf a month for a couple months. Oman 2-20 the golden child of JS was drilled in the early nineties and seems to be the only well half capacble of production.
IMO probably most of the wells drilled by JC are good for nothing other than water disposal which may regenerate flows from some of the pre MAE drilled wells.
It seriously brings into question the health of the majority of the wells and shows that many are unlikely to be useful for gas production.
What a pityful waste of of a hundred million dollars.
